Battle of Salado Creek 5K
Race Day Weather
Hot start
A warm 89°F start means heat management is critical — consider dialing back your goal pace by 10-20 sec/mi. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The 5K at Battle of Salado Creek is the shortest timed distance of the Saturday evening race weekend at Lady Bird Johnson Park in San Antonio, Texas. It is run on the paved Salado Creek Greenway, a multi-use trail of asphalt and concrete that runs along the creek, and starts at the park on Nacogdoches Road. A separate group of competitive walkers covers the same 5K distance a few minutes after the runners.
