Akron Half Marathon
Race Day Weather
Comfortable temps, warming through the race
Mild 56°F temps at gun time mean comfortable early miles without overheating risk. Temperatures rising to 70°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing. Moderate humidity at 79% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

Race Info
The Akron Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles, sharing the Marathon's Akron Art Museum start on High Street and its Lock 3 finish near the Akron Civic Theatre. The shared first 12 miles loop through Firestone Park, the University of Akron campus, and North Hill via the Y-shaped All-America Bridge before the Half Marathon splits onto East Market Street for a faster finish through downtown. Most of its elevation gain comes in the first eight miles, with a flatter back half than the full Marathon's West Akron hills. It runs on the same Saturday morning as the Marathon and Team Relay, as part of Akron Marathon Race Series weekend.
