Diving into Ultramarathon DNF Data
https://www.irunfar.com/diving-into-ultramarathon-dnf-data
This was a really fun read that goes uncharacteristically deep on the less popular side of ultra running: DNFs. Personally, the qualitative table of "Reason(s) for DNF" was the most interesting part, especially when I can relate with the "I didn't feel like running anymore" option :joy: Mallory - if you're reading this, hit me and I'll get you more weather data than you'll know what to do with!
The U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon at a Crossroads: Can the Beloved Event Survive?
https://run.outsideonline.com/road/road-racing/the-u-s-olympic-trials-marathon-at-a-crossroads-can-the-beloved-event-survive/
This was covered a lot in the immediate aftermath of the Orlando Trials, and it makes me nervous. I love the trials and would hate to see it go, as does most of sports media because the Trials really are the main event in American marathoning, but the arguments are sound. Outside's new RUN media arm has offered fantastic reads since launching less than a month ago.
(podcast) Rory Linkletter After Running 2:08:01 At Sevilla Marathon, Hits Olympic Qualifying Mark
https://citiusmag.com/podcast/citius-mag-podcast-rory-linkletter
I started following Linkletter when he was with the NAZ Elite and it's interesting too see his success and relationship with new coach, Ryan Hall. His 2:08:01 qualifying run in Seville, along with the Canadian olympic selection, almost guarantees him a spot in Paris in 2024.
