Good morning. It’s Medal Monday, November 13. We’re covering the B.A.A. Boston Half Marathon results, the Richmond Marathon and the Manchester City Marathon up in New Hampshire.
B.A.A. Boston Half Marathon
The pro race at the B.A.A. Half saw Abel Kipchumba of Kenya take the men's title in a time of 61:32, closely followed by Patrick Tiernan (Australia) and Yemane Haileselassie (Eritrea) for second and third. The women's race was won by Fotyen Tesfay of Ethiopia in 68:46. To complete the women's Ethiopian sweep, Senbere Teferi and Tsigie Gebreselama both came in around 15 seconds later to round out the top three. The wheechair divisions were dominated by Americans, Hermin Garic winning the men's race and Jenna Fesemyer winning the women's.

Richmond Marathon
The 2023 Richmond marathon kicked off on Saturday with cool temps easing into perfect running conditions later in the race. Adam George won the men's race with a time of 2:24:18, followed by Roland Hakes four minutes later and Whit Blair a minute after that. The women's race had Bethany Sachtleben in first with a time of 2:40:26. Ave Grosenheider followed up with a 2:47:51 and Rebecca McGavin rounded out the top three with a time of 2:51:20.

Manchester City Marathon
A wickedly cold start with wind chill in the 20s, the 2023 Manchester City Marathon never broke 40ºF. David Bates of Manchester, won with a time of 2:41:05 with Nolan Roberts (Penacook, NH) coming in second. Third place was rounded out by Christopher Chidley (Somerville, MA) in a time of 2:47:52. The women's race was won by Erin Zimmer (Manchester, NH) in a time of 2:41:49, followed by Renee Melisse (Quincy, MA) and Samantha Stimac (Wells River, VT).
