Mostly on the last two weekends of October. Saturday, October 24 has 194 races and Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31, has 212. A few dozen run on Friday nights, weeknights or Sunday, November 1.

Yes. 99 races include a half marathon or longer, among them the Miami Beach Halloween Half Marathon (October 24), Chicago's Haunted Halloween Half Marathon and the Big Easy Halloween Half Marathon in New Orleans (both October 25), and the Happy Halloween Half Marathon in Long Beach (October 31).
