Race Info
The Birkie Trail Run runs through the pine forests of northwest Wisconsin along the American Birkebeiner Trail near Cable, Wisconsin. The marathon covers two laps of a 13.1-mile single-track and gravel loop that starts and finishes at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead. Held each September, the race weekend also includes a half marathon, 10K, Nordic Trek, 5K, and kids' events. The trail shares its name and route with the American Birkebeiner, a well-known Nordic ski marathon held on the same course each winter.
